I became obsessed (in the best way) with learning.  I was like a sponge soaking up everything about coaching, sales, and client attraction.  I even hired my own coach to help me make sense of it all.

Still, there was one thing I learned quickly:

Getting clients isn’t about having the perfect website or fancy logo.  It’s about building trust, clarity, and connection.

People need to know who you help and how.  Use this formula:

I help (specifically who) go from (problem) to (desired result/transformation) in (timeframe). 

Keep it consistent across your bio, posts, and conversations.

4. Leverage Your Existing Network

You already know people who need what you offer – they just don’t know you’re offering it yet.  Reach out personally, share your story, and let them know how you can help.

5. Host a Free Workshop or Training

One of the fastest ways to attract clients is to teach.  A 45-minute workshop positions you as an authority and builds instant trust.

6. Share Your Story Online

People don’t buy coaching.  They buy connection.

Start sharing your journey, lessons, and what inspired you to start coaching.  Authentic storytelling attracts aligned clients.

7. Create One Signature Freebie

Give people a reason to join your email list.  Offer a simple, specific resource that solves a real problem your Ideal client is facing right now.  It could be a mini-guide, checklist or training. 

8. Ask for Referrals and Testimonials Early

After your first few clients, ask for testimonials and referrals.  Nothing builds credibility faster than someone else saying, “She changed my life.”

9. Build a Simple Sales Conversion

Forget complicated funnels – just connect.  Ask about their goals, listen deeply to their needs, and show them how your coaching can help bridge the gap.

10. Stay Consistent – Even When It’s Quiet

Momentum builds through strategy and consistency.  Keep showing up, sharing value, and connecting – even when it feels slow.  Every post, message, and call compounds.
